Wrestling-Infos.de – Exclusive interview with Michael Huther (ex-WWE star Derrick Bateman)
Hello Mr. Hutter,
thank you very much for your time. How are you doing today?
HELLO GERMANY! Please call me Michael. Wait, this isn’t a conversation it’s an email reply.
I am wonderful thank you for asking. Sorry I only speak English and broken French. I hope my sense of humor isn’t lost in translation.
Many of our readers know the wrestler Derrick Bateman from your time in WWE. But if you don’t mind, would you like to tell us a little bit about the person behind your gimmick? What are you doing in your free time? Any special hobbies?
I’m just a dude and a gentleman trying to enjoy life. I like to entertain, pick up heavy weights, converse with individuals, people watch, read, write, enjoy quality television or film and have wacky adventures.
What was your motivation to become a wrestler?
Loved wrestling. Childhood ambition that carried over to my teens and the desire to pursue something not “of the norm.”
If I’m right, you began your carreer in 2002 and were trained by J-Rocc alias Jerry Myers. Can you tell us a little bit about the training and Myers as a coach? Was it what you expected or even harder?
Dates are probably off but I was trained by J-Rocc. Jerry as a first coach was a blessing. It is a very dark and dirty place on the independents. Training could often be the blind leading the blind or someone trying to rob you blind. I was very fortunate to have Jerry as a coach. He taught me important lessons early, he cared and as far as seeking training on a local independent level it couldn’t have been better.

It’s official! Michael Hutter returns to Absolute Intense Wrestling
Filed Under: AIW, article, iPPV • Posted on maio 26th, 2013 by • Comentários desativados
It’s official! Michael Hutter returns to Absolute Intense Wrestling to take on Tim Donst at Absolution VIII, LIVE on iPPV.
Tim Donst made his reasons for challenging the former Derrick Bateman clear after forcing Mickie Knuckles to pass out in his From Dusk Till Donst submission maneuver during #JLIT Night Two, stating that, given the talent who’ve run from AIW as soon as he had an issue with them, he wants to face somebody willing to step into an AIW ring. Michael Hutter hasn’t done that since Absolution II, but as soon as word of Donst’s challenge reached him, he tweeted a picture flashing Donst’s old BDK salute, along with two simple words: “challenge accepted.”
This clash joins the Absolute Title bout between Eric Ryan and Colin Delaney as the only two announced for Absolution VIII thus far, but more announcements are on the way, and a number of challenges were issued over #JLIT weekend. Keep your eye on this page for more, and visit our friends at SMVOD.com to order this event. In Cleveland on June 30th? Daring world traveler? Join us live! Absolution VIII tickes are ON SALE, as always, atshop.aiwrestling.com

It was confirmed today that Derrick has been released from his contract with WWE.
”Bateman was seen on the final season of NXT before it morphed into the current incarnation of the series filmed in Florida. He was signed in 2007 and had been in the system for a long time.”
I’m really sad about this news, but I will continuing to support Derrick out of WWE and keep with the site.

Guest Post: Derrick Bateman On Red Dawn, America
Filed Under: article, WWE • Posted on dezembro 1st, 2012 by • Comentários desativados
We asked Derrick Bateman, our lover of all things U.S.A. and Swayze, to give us a short report on the new Red Dawn. Here it is:
Red Dawn has always been a staple in my patriotic diet. When I learned it was to be revisited in 2012 I met it with apprehension. But, seeing as I am a “USA Guy” and I love to watch things explode, I decide to dive on in. The following is a side-by-side comparison of the two films using the fail proof “Derrick Bateman Movie Measuring Guide of Skill and Focus.”
Cast
The original Red Dawn had Powers Boothe, Marty McFly’s mom, that chick from Dirty Dancing, Raw Social Media Ambassador Charlie Sheen and Patrick Swayze (A.K.A. The man responsible for teaching me everything I know about loving and fighting.)
The remake has a rugged and handsome—but still totally Australian—Chris Hemsworth, and some kid from iCarly who couldn’t win a fist fight with a toilet brush.
Advantage: Red Dawn 1984
Plot
Both movies are hardly realistic, but I can feign realism to watch Swayze single handily dismiss Russian and Cuban soldiers while I cheer on from my couch. The remake swaps North Koreans in for Russians and Cubans, and a secret EMP weapon able to hold down the Pacific Northwest. Honestly, I feel as though I could lead half my Twitter followers armed with kitchen utensils and bad intentions to successfully thwart their invasion.
Advantage: Red Dawn 1984
Quotability
“AVENGE ME!” — Red Dawn 1984
“Marines don’t die. They go to Hell and regroup”— Red Dawn 2012
Advantage: Push
Intangibles
Red Dawn is on the AFI’s list of “Top 31 Films That Make You Come Out Of The Theater Swinging.” It’s an American classic that should be put into a rocket and shot into space with the intention of contacting alien life so that they’ll think twice about ever coming here looking for a fight. Red Dawn 2012 has flash, some pretty explosions, Hemsworth’s baby blues and Tom Cruise’s adopted kid, but you could wait for it to show up in your local Redbox. Actually, for the record, it should be a “Red, White and Blue Box.”
Advantage: Red Dawn 1984
In conclusion *SPOILER ALERT* America is awesome. Go Wolverines!

Excuse the delay…
Derrick Bateman is all about two things: Chicks and America. We called on his love for the latter to ensure that you, our ‘WWE Magazine’ readers, have the best Independence Day possible this year.
The Food
“A P.A.T.R.I.O.T—’Participant At True Rudimentary Investigation Of The American Way’—would prepare a meal forged by the means of the original 13 colonies: Hand-sewn crops, fish caught from the Atlantic and wild game. Or, just swing by Costco. Always buy American!”
The Preparation
“Family fireside chats’ are held discussing each amendment of the Constitution (especially the 19th, which gave chicks the right to vote). Red Dawn is viewed in solemn observance. Finally, meat is left by the fireplace for Uncle Sam when he comes down the chimney with you presents.”
The Locale
“If you can’t make it to Mount Rushmore, the Washington Monument or the U.S.S Intrepid with Lex Luger, Yokozuna and the Charlotte Hornet’s Scott Burrell, your own personal piece of Americana will suffice, whether it’s a backyard, a baseball game or local underground fight club.”
The Wardrobe
“A P.A.T.R.I.O.T.’s outfit should be limited to the following: Tank tops, fanny packs, top hats, cowboy boots, army boots, work boots, boots, jeans, jean shorts, Aviator sunglasses and of course, American-flag Zubaz.”
To read more of how you should prepare for the fourth, including the perfect soundtrack to you Independence Day, pick-up the July issue of WWE Magazine or SUBSCRIBE HERE and save 70% off newsstand sale price.
If there is anyone who has the scan of Derrick on WWE Magazine and would like to donate to the site, send to adm@derrickbateman.net
